The Nigerian man who attempted to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day in 2009 has been sentenced to life in prison. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab said he was acting on behalf of al-Qaeda. Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports.
